Ways of Styling Long Hair: The Bun and Hair Ringlets
The classic bun is considered one of the easiest hairstyles to
execute. A great way to control hair for a busy day at work or even
playing sports, once mastered, it can take you from morning to night.
The modern look for the bun is very simple: mess it up! That’s right. A

pieces of hair out at this stage. Take these strands from the end of the
pony tail so they are not too long. Wrap the tail around itself in the
nape to form the bun. You are then going to secure the end by poking it
under the cover band and securing this with a bobby pin. You are

be aware that it does not take a perm to achieve this sexy and wild
look. There are many tools to create this style. Finding out what works
best for you is key in being comfortable with creating a look all your
own. Tongs are the easiest tool to get the look but there are also hot
sticks and, of course, setting your hair on pipe cleaners for a very
curly look.
The technique used with pipe cleaners is also achieved with the tongs
or hot sticks. You will take small sections of your hair the same
diameter as the tool you are working with and wrap it around. Be sure
the tool is thermal protected, and have a heat friendly product to work
with. Then, just give it a twist! You don’t want so many that the hair
twists back on itself, but several to gain the affect of ringlets.
If you wish for a more permanent look, a spiral perm can be given
followed by the use of a curling iron. The curling iron can achieve the
look with the spiral permanent. To do this, purchase a curling iron with
a small barrel. The trick to this is to learn how to work with a small
section of hair. Having long hair does not always make it simple to work
with a small amount of it at a time, but this is what makes the
difference between trying and mastering a technique in any long hair
